The most disturbing thing to me about the US News and World Report list
is that all the listed incidents happened either during the (first) Cold
War or very recently. The fourteen-year hiatus in such incidents coincides
with an era of warmer relations between the US and USSR. Does the present
Administration realize the price it (we) is paying for their new, hard-nosed
attitude?
