My hp2645 terminal used to have difficulty with warp until I massaged my
termcap entry.  Now the screen gets garbled only when a canned starmap
is put out from right to left.  ^R takes care of it with only slight
hassle.  Here it is:

# Note: no "ho" on HP's since that homes to top of memory, not screen.
# Note: setting :dN to anything other than 0 makes vi incredibly slow
