	 couple of questions about this puzzle...

	 1. are the effects of potions cumulative?
	       (ie do 2 potions of speed give you 4 attacks/round ?)

	 2. is it reasonable for a Wish from a ring of wishes to give
	       you a potion?

         if the answers to these questions are both "yes"... I  may 
	 have a solution.
