$bold A$'s for Ants, that make you weak,
$bold B$'s for Bats, that jump and squeak,
$bold C$'s for Centaurs, tall and strong,
$bold D$'s for Dragons, famed in song.
$bold E$'s for an Eye, that stares at you,
$bold F$ for a Fungus, sticks like glue.
$bold G$ for a Gnome, can't hurt a flea,
$bold H$ for a Hob that Gobbles me.
$bold I$'s for a stalker, tall and thin
Hard to see without a ring.
$bold J$'s a Jackal, die first blow,
$bold K$ for a Kobold, melt like snow.
$bold L$'s for a Lep, who steals gold
(Irish, green, and very old).
$bold M$'s for Mimics, shaped like rings,
$bold N$ for a Nymph who steals things.
$bold O$ for an Orc, that dies so fast,
$bold P$ for a worm, of purple cast.
$bold Q$'s for a Quasit, hard to hit,
$bold R$'ll Rust you up a bit.
$bold S$ for a Snake with poisoned bite,
$bold T$ for a Troll, who hates the light.
$bold U$'s for the dreaded Umber Hulk
(Yellow eye, and shaggy bulk)
$bold V$ for a Vamp, with teeth so brown,
$bold W$raiths can knock your level down.
$bold X$ for a Xorn, so strong and tough,
a $bold Y$eti's made of softer stuff.
$bold Z$ed for a Zombie,(not a Zee)
Monsters did not frighten me
For I had, until I died,
Swords and Wands and Genocide.
