Washington, Computer Sci Lines: 20 I use an Azden PCS-2000 for my 2m mobile rig. I have found this to be a very nice rig. The PCS-3000 and PCS-4000 have fixed several problems with the design of the 2000. It does have a small control head, about the first 2 inches, and a 10 foot cable to the "rest of the guts." With that small a control head, it does not have the speaker. It does have a speaker jack if you put the rest of the guts is some place where you can not hear the speaker. It is also synthesized. It also has at least 6 memories for your favorite frequencies. The 3000 and 4000, as I recall, also remember the offset along with the frequency. These memories may also be scanned. It has two power settings, the high power being 25 watts. A better place to find out all the things is to look in QST or Ham Radio for an advertisment. What I wanted to do was to let you know that I would buy another Azden if I had the money. I am very happy with the PCS-2000, with the exception of a few things, that seem to be fixed in the 3000 and 4000. Phil Nelson WB6OHF/7 Seattle, Wa ...decvax!microsoft!uw-beaver!uw-june!phil
