Someone has just stolen the Commandant's monocle. The prisoners have been assembled at 6AM in the prison yard for an address by the Commandant.] Commandant: Alll rite! I vant to know NOW. OOOH haas stolen my monocle. [Prisoners fidget. No response] Commandant: Eeef I don't get ze monocle bok in vone meenute. Der vill be severe punishment! [Prisoners fidget. No response] Commandant: All rite! You vill aal stand here ootside in der hot sun and vill say "Tick Tock, Tick Tock" until I get mye monocle baak! [Prisoners start so say in concert.. "Tick....Tock.........Tick...Tock .......Tick...Tock......... It gets later in the day...getting HOTTER...men still saying "Tick...Tock.... Tick...Tock........Three on the 20 prisoners collapse from exhaustion. The monocle is still missing. The rest just keep saying "Tick...Tock .........Tick..Tock..." It's 2PM. 3 others collapse. No monocle. The rest say "Tick...Tock......" It's 3PM. 5 others collapse. No monocle. The rest say "Tick...Tock......" It's 4PM. 8 others collapse. No monocle. Only one guy left. The commondant comes out to inspect the prisoners. He sees the one guy left. He goes over to inspect him closely. The defiant prisoner is just saying "Tick...Tick....Tick...Tick..." Commandant: [infuriated] "Say 'Tick Tock'" Prisoner : [defiantly] "Tick...Tick...Tick...." Commandant: [more infuriated] "SAY 'TICK TOCK'!" Prisoner : [more defiantly] "TICK...TICK...TICK...."
