since 1000 leaves a remainder of -1 when divided by 7, and 1000000
leaves a remainded of 1, casting out sevens involves adding the 6 digit hunks
and getting abcdef.  Then the remainder of the original number after
dividing by 7 is the same as that from def - abc.
