She was active in the holistic health movement, and eschewed traditional therapies in favor of nutritional approaches, including laetrile. From all reports, she was a vital, vibrant intense woman whose life was tragically cut short. All I could think as I read this was how sad it was that she died, and I could not help judging her decision as well-meaning and committed, but ultimately stupid and wasteful. It is impossible to second-guess her outcome if she had been treated with traditional medical therapies, but I firmly believe that her chances would have been much greater than traipsing off to Mexico for treatments from the much more questionable "Tijuana Establishment" which exists solely to profit from the gullible and those beyond the abilities of present medical technology. /Steve Dyer decvax!wivax!dyer
