     I would like to know if anyone out there has had
any problems or success interfacing a shugart SA-400
disk drive to a APPLE II+.  A group of us here purchased
some drives (10 of them) from what we thought was a
reputable company. Since we got them mail order through
second or third hands, Shugart will not warranty them.
Besides having numerous head alignment and speed adjustment
problems, when we did get them semi-working, we could
not load large programs such as VISICALC from the drives.
If anyone has succesfully interfaced a Shugart to an
Apple I would appreciate hearing from you.
