i have a VADIC 3451 modem, which connects via an RS-232 interface.
what pin connections do I need to go from a terminal port on my
computer to my modem?  some pin connections must be reversed, I think.
which ones, and why?  what is the minimum number of pin that must be
connected?  Do making additional pin connections beyond that minimum
buy you additional features?
