A friend also bought one and had a bad disk drive. He sent it back and they replaced the drive and used it for a while but something else went bad and he sent it back again. When this unit was first announced at CP/M 83, it was offered for $500. I bought mine at the West Coast Computer Faire fro $695. At those prices it was a good buy. At the present prices, I don't think so. Mine came with CP/M 3.0 and TMAKER II, a combined word-processor, spread sheet program. The BIOS source is supplied and it is a full implementation of banked CP/M (128K memory). However, I think I would rather have ZCPR and CP/M 2.2. THey have just announced a separate 2-drive box for $895 and a hard disk for $18XX? Ted Shapin. -------
