If anybody is interested, the Btrieve package from SoftCraft is a very
good program for constructing a database.  It allows for an unlimited
number of records per file, and up to eight keys per record.  It is
very fast and very flexible.

I have used Btrieve from Computer Innovations C, and I also use it
in conjunction with a product called Multilink.  The latter product
allows for multitasking (and even multiuser) from a single PC.  I
was able to combine these two products so that I had multiuser
access to the same database.

If anyone has further experience or questions, I would like to hear
from you.
