Man!  I find it difficult to believe that anybody is having trouble
getting mail to me ... most of the backbone sites talk to vortex
directly, and there has been no evidence of any mail problems.

In any case, I have a revolutionary suggestion to make regarding 
situations where people are having trouble reaching other individuals
on the net (for whatever reason).  Use the phone!  My number is listed
in the Usenet directory, and I am perfectly happy to take calls.  This
would normally seem to be preferable to broadcast messages aimed
at a single individual.

In any case, as long as I've gone this far, I might as well state that
my old messages regarding banking card formats and similar data 
(the cards are documented in an ISO standard, by the way) are in
the archives of the ARPA BANKING list (BANKING@ML).  If the
moderator (-REQUEST) does not respond, send a message to the list itself
with your request for a pointer to the archives.
