Zelig, the main character (played by Allen), is portrayed as the typical wimpy, guilt-ridden, sex-starved underdog. I didn't realize this until a few hours after the movie, because the story is very entertaining, and gags abound. Definitely worth the five bucks I shelled out to see it.
