(One also appeared recently on the cover of InfoWorld.) The description inside (pp. 7-10) says that Atari's Special Programs group used two Symbolics LM2 Lisp Machines hosting a 32-bit Ikonas frame buffer. Pat Cole, Special Programs software manager, said that using Lisp was a great help because, Symbolic's object-oriented programming system, Flavors, makes it "incredibly easy to code graphics."
