Not the team of John Carpenter and Ridley Scott, but the team of
John Carpenter and Dan O'Bannon (the latter known for his script
to "Alien" and a script that was finally realized as "Blue Thunder").
"Dark Star" was done on a shoestring when the two were at USC.
