"Dark Star" was the first film made by John Carpenter whose most recent film is
the remake of "The Thing".  I almost sure he didn't make "Alien"

I was surprised to see it on somebody's list of bad films.  It is widely
regarded as a low budget classic, an assessment with which I am in full
agreement. It shows great imagination and the special effects weren't bad
considering the twopence-halfpenny budget.

I loved the slogan they used to advertise the film in England

	"Bombed out in space with a spaced out bomb"
