Damnation Alley was based quite loosely on Zelazny's novel.  Like the
James Bond movies, it ended up having the title in common and not much
else. Somebody mentioned that most of the film's budget went for the
armored RV (that's about what it was); well, the money sure didn't go
for acting or special effects or screenwriting or etc. This movie is
one of the worst ever made.
