We're copping out here!!

Banging off a list of "favorite" films is too easy.

A few months ago, someone requested that people post their
thoughts anout WHY their favorites ARE their favorites.  At
the time no responses were given. (I responded, but verbosity
runs in my family, so that doesn't count)

Now that bad films have been given a thorough thrashing, we're
primed to REALLY think about what we consider good.

How about it?  WHY IS YOUR FAVE A FAVE?
