It seems that the results are running about half-and-half -- half say an unqualified 'yes', the others say that puzzles should go into their different special-interest groups. In other words, statistical and mathematical puzzles in net.math, word puzzles in net.nlang, etc. I have a fair-sized repertoire of puzzles, however, and most of them are logic puzzles .... there ain't no net.logic group. So, although I can see the viewpoint of the 'con' people, I still think that net.puzzle would be a worthwhile and well-trafficked group. I, for one, like mathematical puzzles but have absolutely no interest in reading net.math; I like word puzzles but don't have the time to read net.nlang; and I like logic puzzles but don't want to put them in net.misc!!!! -- The MAD Programmer -- 919-228-3814 (Cornet 291) alias: Curtis Jackson ...![ floyd sb1 mhuxv ]!burl!rcj
