There were no dissenting votes, but my earlier message indicated that that discussion should remain in 'net.news.group'. I'll attempt to summarize the weight of opinion. Respondents felt that the news group: -- should NOT be moderated/anonymous--speaking out on USENET should always entail some sense of personal responsibility. -- should be open to everyone, regardless of sexual preference. -- should be called 'net.gay' instead of 'net.motss'. Net.motss adds, you might say, an extra level of indirection, which could only cause confusion to new news readers. Some peoples' responses weren't exactly along this axis, but I think I've characterized the majority pretty well. Where do we go from here? /Steve decvax!wivax!dyer
