ssc-vax!jobe says that the PLO, Syria, and Israel are all invaders in
Lebanon with expansionist intentions and that the US Marines are there to
keep the peace with no such motives.  Well it seems to me that no matter
what Israel does, it is in the wrong.   They were pressured to pull back, 
and they did.  Gee, I couldn't have predicted fighting would break out
the day they withdrew.  As for our marines keeping peace, they've done a
great job.  You never hear about fighting in Lebanon or anything.  Even
though the intentions of the United States are good,  American soldiers are
dying.   And it's a tragedy when ANYONE dies.
	Is Israel being expansionist?  Maybe, but isn't it a coincidence that
as soon as Israel withdrew from parts of Lebanon that Arafat reappears there
condemning both Israel and the US "traitors".
