But if you are defending yourself, it is much better to defend yourself from those who are attacking (taking pot shots, planting bombs, shooting civilian planes down, blowing up busses, firing openly in crowds etc) than to take the lives of those who pose you little or no threat such as Lebanese civilians in hospitals. I just hope that someday, there will be no killing. One of the prime directives of the PLO is to drive Israel into the sea (it is in their constitution). How can something like that be dealt with? Israel has a lot of internal problems now. It is because of the tragedy of war. No one wants war, but is it worth the expense of constantly being attacked by guerrillas at random? -- Steve Silberberg
