"...Socialism first appeared in 1922..."?!  No WONDER socialists chose
to ignore it--von Mises chooses to ignore the history of socialism, which
stretches back easily a century (in theory and nascent practice) before
the Russian revolution.

Does he mean "socialism as state economic policy"?  Is that what the
capital 'S' means?
