I have several questions about the loan sanction idea, though. 1) I don't know the exact agreement that was entered into by the banks and the eastern block nations. Does anyone have any good information. 2) Will declaring them in default actually DO anything? After all, we can't collect our loans, like in empire(psl style). What d we do when they say 'so what'. 3) Assuming that such actions do have any effect whatsoever, what effect will it have on the US other than acting like a grain embargo? 4) Is there any Constitutional Precedent? In other words, is it legal to do anything of the sort? I suspect NOT. Anyhow, it's an interesting idea, how about some discussion?
