I fear that the Korean Airline <tragedy, murder, whatever> has obscured another
tragedy, namely the death of Scoop Jackson, the senator from Boeing. 
(oops, I mean the senator from Washington)

It's unfortunate that the loss (if there had to be a loss) was that of
one of the moderating influences. <Moderate when compared to 
Teddy Kennedy and Jesse Helms, at least.> 

I don't doubt that there are people who disagree with me.
