"Moby Dick" was one of the books Khan took with him from 'Old Earth' (another was Milton's "Paradise Lost"). The books were clearly visible lying on a shelf in the "Botany Bay" ship in ST2TWOK. Khan referred to "Paradise Lost" in both "Space Seed" and ST2TWOK... Good continuity there.
