This is back in print.  One of the few "comic" s-f books around.

Ah, yes.  Very good book, is "Stargate", by Stephen Robinett
If you have worked on an BIG, nasty, high tech project,
you will see little viginettes that are really guite funny.

The book was never a great seller,  I wonder why...
