I know of many people who haven't read it, and I know of many people who have read it nth times, but ONLY ONCE. (I've been under the impression that after the first time -- you're HOOKED). I've probably read it about once every year or year and a half since the first time. I truly enjoy Middle Earth and find it a great place to take a vacation when you can't afford the gas or hotel bills to go anywhere else. Mary
