Another reason to prefer "SF" over "Sci-Fi" is that the former allows the
interpretation "Speculative Fiction," which is a term advocated by Harlan
Ellison (in, I think, @i(Dangerous Visions)) and is more an umbrella term
encompassing Fantasy, Horror, etc. which aren't really SCIENCE Fiction, but
are often found in the magazines and on the bookshelves.  (I really think
@i(Fantasy and Science Fiction) magazine ought to change its name to
@i(Horror and a Few Other Stories), but that's my own pet peeve.)
