At the end of the evening he's calling you miss right and you're calling him mr. charming, he gets your phone number and then he gives you his! He says he'll call you next week. NOTE: the girl is hesitant (shy) to call him and he said as he gave you the number "...here's my number, unless you're one of those girls who don't call guys!?@?" Another hint... this was a really fireworks and stars meeting! What do you do? In what tone did the man say "...unless you're one of those girls who don't call guys"? Was it jocular, or contemptuous, or what? If the guy might look down on you because of your hesitancy to call him, maybe there is a chance that the fireworks and stars could turn into strategic nuclear weapons later on. I am always suspicious anyway of situations wherein a couple who have known each other for a short time (a mere few hours, in this case) find themselves overwhelmed with desire (emotional as well as physical) for each other. That's probably why he said he'd call you NEXT WEEK. In labor relations, this is called a "cooling-off period". If you feel that you might like to marry the guy, wait a few days. Try to extrapolate (if possible) what he might be like to LIVE with, day in and day out. If, after a few days of serious consideration, you still think you would like to live with him, and you still think that his character and yours would be compatible, by all means, call him! Were I in a similar situation, I would be exceedingly flattered and pleased if the woman called me. Of course, even if you doubt you'd want to marry him, but you still like him, you can go ahead and call him anyway, though you might have to handle the situation a little more carefully (in case he is still ardently interested in you). Friendship is a wonderful thing all by itself, though it may be hard to make someone who wants more than just friendship accept that. -- Jeff Sargent/pur-ee!pucc-h:aeq
