Lines: 28 What is a relationship without honesty (or diplomacy as Glenn Reid suggests)? It's called "living a lie". I have a friend who hides all of her faults from her boyfriend. She always spends WELL beyond her means (he is very careful with his money.) When I asked her if she had let him know about this spending problem (it is quite serious--her car was repossessed last week) she said she couldn't tell him about it. She then became terrified that I might tell him (which I had no intention of doing--that's something I would like to see her do on her own.) What do you think of a relationship like this??? I'm not afraid of having someone see my worst side. It's a part of me. Why hide it??? Kind of reminds me of a woman who wears so much makeup that her own boyfriend would not recognize her without it. Why hide what you are?? If you do, your date may very well like the false image you are projecting, thinking that is you (while all the time you are hiding behind the mask.) Gee, one might just as well send a cardboard cutout of Jaclyn Smith out on the date and stay home to watch TV! How can two people claim to be "serious" about each other and be talking about getting married when they are playing these games?!? -Sarah hi avi!
