I have never met anyone, gay or straight, who could claim to have
chosen their sexual preference.  About the only thing one can choose
is when and how to act on a preference.  I should qualify this--
I have known several men and women who could legitimately be called
bisexual.  In their situations, there was more of a conscious choice
to act one way or another.  But people like these, blessed (or cursed)
with the freedom of choice, are a minority, in my experience.
