I've observed that two people are often attracted to each other because of their dif- ferences just as much as their commonalities. In a relationship where the two personalities are complementary; one person calm, stable, detached, the other excitable, volatile and sensitive, clashes are inevitable. A relationship like this won't work unless there is a generous amount of diplomacy/tactfulness on the part of the calm/stable/detached one toward the excitable/volatile/sensitive one. I've been there. I doubt if it is reasonable to expect anyone to 'grow up' and out of a general character trait. The excitable/volatile/sensitive types are just convinced as the calm/stable/detached ones that they ARE already. :-) )-: ---------- Bob (should've been in net.catharsis) Coggeshall uucp: {decvax!watmath} {pur-ee!rocks34!rocksvax} {{allegra, seismo}!rochester!rocksvax} !sunybcs!coggs ARPA: coggs.buffalo@udel-relay CSnet: coggs@buffalo phys: SUNY/Buffalo Computer Science 4226 Ridge Lea Amherst, NY 14226 (716) 831-3063 ----------
