HEAVY STUFF: In all my (few) years on this planet, I aint been able to find someone to fit well with me, matewise. This is of course tragic anough (hankies at the ready, please), but what makes it worse are revelations like a recent one i got laid on me by a mutual friend of a woman I had in mind to 'court': that while i was busy adding up the pros and cons of asking her out romantically (sounds mercenary, but you know what I mean), she was doing the same to me! And never the twain did meet. Moreover, this was not some puppylove foppery; the woman involved was as close to Ms. Right as a committed Lefty like me was likely to find (except if I want to date older, "New Left-overs"). I wasn't totaly devastated by our mutual friend's revelation -- but that's because in the process of being alienated from the mainstream of society, I peeled down the capacity for personal hurt feelings. Oh, the pain is there -- but it hasn't been allowed to show up yet; I'm too busy being a busy activist to fiddle with these trivial details. But enough of me, folks...anybody else been in a similar position (that is, with or without the political dimension), and would lke to share some insight on it? Any help is more than appreciated. Love and liberty to all, Roisin Dubh (aka blakrose)
