I may be new to this news group, and perhaps its a slow month, but Ya gotta be kidding. There are people who type in their experiences of first dates of computers. Lets get real !! It's a machine !! It can't think. It can't generate thought. Why are people informing others of the first time they typed on a computer keyboard. There are so many worthwhile social issues to speak of.. For example - Why are hackers often socially backward ? - What makes one become a hacker, what is the driving force ? - Why are hackers getting such publicity nowadays (e.g. WARGAMES) - Why do systems programmers, by and large, have the same attitudes on wine, women, song and philosophy ? Maybe this will generate interesting conversation ************************ Marc Schare- BTL PISCATAWAY
