Apparently,  this lyric confused everybody.  In the later seasons, they
re-recorded the theme, and v-e-r-y c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y enunciated the line
   "Gee, our old LaSalle ran great"
(LaSalle was an automobile manufacturer)
