>From the description given, it seems like the pilot (I'm not really
sure it was intended ever to become a series) was a movie based on
the Marvel comic book character Dr. Strange.  Even if you follow comics,
it is not surprising that one could have forgotten, since it did not 
adhere very well to the origin of the "real" comic book character.
