There is an Equal Pay for Equal Work campaign/movement which quotes this and other figures, so the confusion is expected and perhaps even fostered, although considering how many men there are doing menial work, and the pressure on women to show they can make it in a man's world, the comparable work number, if it were measurable, might prove to be even lower.
