Why is it that overpopulation keeps being brought up in the context of
discussions on child-rearing?  Don't people realize that reproduction
and child-rearing can be two completely independent activities?  Yes,
I agree that becoming a biological parent is a relatively easy and
all-too-popular activity.  Being a  g o o d  parent (in the broader
sense of the term) is much more difficult and somewhat neglected.
