Recipients must be admitted to the Ph.D. program; November 1 is the applications deadline for Spring 1984. Applicants must have a B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent, a total GRE (combined verbal and quantitative) of at least 1400, and a GPA of at least 3.5 . Doctoral Fellows will serve as Teaching Assistants for two semesters, then will be given a fellowship (with no TA duties) for one additional year. The stipend will be $1000/month. Twenty fellowships per year will be available. The Computer Sciences Department at the University of Texas is ranked in the top ten departments by the Jones-Lindzey report.
