Our friends at D A K are selling an Impulse Noise Quieter box for $149 plus
$4 shipping.  The picture they show has a small box marked SAE 5000A.

1) Is this a reasonable price for the box in question?

2) Does this sort of box do a reasonable job of cleaning up things like
old mono records handed down from a generation or two?

I am seriously thinking of blowing the $150 bucks on this toy.  Any
comments would be appreciated.
