Dave,
  I'm afraid you and the other "Hirsch-Heads" on this Net are forever
doomed to a Mid-Fi existence.  You are so wrapped up in your calculators
and spec sheets that you can't see the forest for the trees.  Take time
to really listen......with your ears.....not your head!  Could you
possibly concede that there is even the smallest chance that the audio
group was right?  Put your pad and pencil down and listen.

If you "put up your antenna" you may well find that audio has progressed
well past a $300 Pioneer receiver nd a Shure cartridge

Can you feel the heat coming up again?
