Gary Kasparov will meet Viktor Korchnoi, and Zoltan Ribli will meet Vasily Smyslov. The matches are being organized by the British Chess Federation and sponsored by Acorn Computers. The prize for the Kasparov-Korchnoi match is $47,000; half that for the Ribli-Smyslov match.
