I think there might be some people on netnews that would be interested. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Institute for Humane Studies will award Undergraduate Fellowships up to $7,500 (tuition plus stipend) Graduate Fellowships up to $9,000 (tuition plus stipend) Eligibility Criteria for the Claude R. Lambe Fellowships 1. Applicants must have at least junior standing at an accredited university by the 1984 fall term. Fellowships for students who have applied to graduate programs but who are not yet accepted are conditional upon acceptance. 2. Applicants' major field of study must be in the social sciences, law, the humanities, or journalism, and applicants must be pursuing or intending to pursue graduate study in those fields. 3. Applicants should have a clearly demonstrated interest in classical liberal/ libertarian ideas. 4. Applicants must intend to pursue an intellectual career. 5. Applicants may not have any other full-tuition scholarships approved for the 1984-1985 academic year. Application deadline: January 15, 1984 The Institute for Humane Studies is proud to announce the 1984-1985 Claude Lambe Fellowship program. Fellowships will be awarded based on the applicant's academic performance, interest in classical liberal ideas, and potential for an intellectual career. The Lambe Fellowship competition is open to all qual- ified students regardless of race, religion, color, sex, age, military service, handicap, national or ethnic origin. The amount of the Fellowship award will depend upon tuition costs at the recipient's university, and on the status of any other scholarships awarded to the recipient for the 1984-1985 academic year.
