Apple Crisp peel and slice 6-7 apples. Put them in a greased 8 by 8 baking pan. Topping, mix together 1/2 c flour 1/2 c oatmeal 1 t cinnamon sprinkle cloves, nutmeg dash salt 1/4 c margarine (1/2 a stick) (I usually mix it with my hand, a little messy, but fun.) Put topping on apples. Bake 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. It's done when you can stick a fork easily through the apples. It's great hot with vanilla icecream. It is very easy to make, and if I'm in a hurry I can put it together in 20 minutes (then into the oven). Another variation is French apple pie, which is the same as above, expect make a bottom pie crust for a 9 inch pan, then put the apples in , then put the topping on.
