Message-ID: <1511@fortune.UUCP> Date: Tue, 27-Sep-83 20:54:51 EDT Article-I.D.: fortune.1511 Posted: Tue Sep 27 20:54:51 1983 Date-Received: Thu, 13-Oct-83 02:24:46 EDT Organization: Fortune Systems, Redwood City, CA Lines: 16 I am looking for a good encryption technique, suitable for implementation on a microcomputer (in other words having source code already available would be real nice). Lacking knowledge of the subject, I am hoping someone out there can point me in the right direction - either by mailing source code or the names of some good texts on the subject. I'm also interested in people's opinions of the various algorithms commonly used - DES, etc. Which one is considered "safest"? Public key would be nice, but is not a requirement (the jury is still out on those, right?). Thanks, Rick Kiessig {hpda,amd70,harpo}!fortune!kiessig
