Related to aligning the chain, I've found that having a friend step down
hard on the brake while I'm retightening the axle nut ensures that the
brake shoes will be centered on the drum.  I'm not surprised that
Triumphs don't have alignment marks.  For the longest time I was convinced
that they didn't come with mufflers.
