R. talks about the problems of states that went ahead and built their interstates and now charge tolls, in New Jersey the roads that do charge tolls (GARDEN STATE PARKWAY, and N. J. Turnpike are much better maintained than the normal roads. Whenever we get one of our great snowstorms, these roads are cleared immediately, while the normal interstate takes days. The 'private' management does a much better job than the state could ever do. I'm glad to pay my quarter each day to get to work.
