I keep my eyes peeled for signs of this clique, and have discovered a new clue as to what they (LaRouche and his coterie, and spin-off organizations) might be up to. The United Steel Workers have had some full-page ads in various papers and magazines in recent weeks--long flames about Japanese/European "dumping" of subsidized steel into U.S. markets. I believe there is some inordinate vilification of the British, a classic Larouche preoccupation. And look closely at the union's emblem: it has, in fine print, "AFL-CIO-CLC". CLC?? That's "Caucus of Labor Committees," if I'm not mistaken--a U.S. Labor Party front. If anyone has more detailed information, I would appreciate it. --- Michael Turner (ucbvax!ucbesvax.turner)
